Rini and Misranto had so much love for their baby girl. So much so, that they wanted to protect her at all costs. Only in their eyes, that same protection called for lots of secrets: Treni's adoption, for starters. But that wasn't the only thing her parents kept safely tucked away.

Her Childhood

Upon adoption, Rini and Misranto also decided to change their baby girl's name: Elis Treni Mustika was officially Treni Fitri Yana. And it'd be years - decades - before Treni uncovered the truth about her identity. Unfortunately, though, that wasn't the only curveball sent her way.

By the time 1999 came around, nothing would ever be the same: Her family had suddenly picked up and moved - 2,000+ Kilometres away, to the scenic island of East Java. But they weren't the only ones: At around the same time, the Mustikas, too, picked up and moved to Tasikmalaya.

Treni Led a Separate Life

In other words? The sisters had gone from living minutes to miles - almost 400 of them - apart. And it'd remain that way for decades to come: Trena carried on living with her family in Tasikmalaya, while Treni started one of her own. She'd met the love of her life, got married, and welcomed 2 children. But that's not all she did.

By 2013? The aspiring blogger found her way online as she pursued a career as an influencer. Little did Treni know, that joining the TikTok world would change her life in more ways than she could've ever imagined. But what about her sister? What did her reality look like?

Trena Continued To Search For Her Sister

Sure enough, 500+ kilometers away, Miss Mustika actually had her sights set completely elsewhere. She couldn't stop thinking about the bombshell her parents had dropped on her years earlier. What happened to her twin sister? If her parents wouldn't tell her about her past, who would?

What happened? Trena's neighbor had caught wind of Fitri Yana's latest dancing clip. And it left her speechless, racing to the keyboard. Only the seemingly innocent message she began to type out was about to turn one person's world upside down. Any guess who we're referring to?

Of course, her neighbor, Trena. Only Trena had no idea the shock that awaited her as she opened her inbox to read her latest message. Who had messaged her? Sure enough, as Trena began to read the words propped before her, her heart suddenly stopped.

"She just wanted to praise me for the great dance," Trena explained of the message suddenly plastered across her screen. To the naked eye, it didn't mean much. But to Trena? It was about to mean everything. "I have TikTok, but the video wasn't from me," she explained of her initial confusion. And that's when it hit her.

Just one glance at the seconds-long clip, and it didn't take long to see why her neighbor had done what she had done. Smiling back at her from her TikTok feed was... herself. Only the video wasn't of her. Who was this mystery woman? And why did it feel like she was looking in a mirror?

She Noticed Their Eerie Similarities

"We looked so alike, I can understand how my neighbor thought it was me," Trena explained. Nonetheless, "I explained to her that it wasn't me." But after clearing things up, she, too, wanted answers. She picked up her phone and raced out the door, as she set out to get exactly that.

After pulling up to her former childhood home, Trena hopped out of the car and scurried up the stairs. She took a deep breath as she pounded on the door, unsure of what she was about to be greeted with. It almost felt surreal. Was she really about to uncover the truth, once and for all?

Her Father Confirmed Her Suspicions

 "I was speechless," Trena confessed. There was a solid chance she was about to confirm the identity of her birth sister; Something she desperately craved her entire life. And as she pulled up the TikTok app to confront her father, suddenly Mr. Mustika's face said it all.

Everything happened so fast. And in the blink of an eye, Enseng and Enok lost perhaps the one thing they loved most in their life. Despite desperate attempts to track down their relocated daughter, their search led them... nowhere. It was devastating, something that'd haunt them for years to come.

When Treni and Trena Met Online

As fate would have it, endless years - and tears - later, Treni's path had finally led her back to her birth family. And she and Trena couldn't wait to make up for the lost time. Only after rushing online to put a face to their other halves, they couldn't fight the emotions they were suddenly met with.

"When she saw me for the first time through a video call, she broke into tears," Ms. Mustika recalled of the moment she came face to face with her long-lost sister. It was truly a sight to be seen. Only their virtual reunion left them unsatisfied: They wanted to meet in person.

"I was shocked," Friti Yana recalled of the moment her sister opened the door: "[Our faces] look the same..." It was truly like looking in a mirror, after all; Something her own children couldn't even grasp. They "couldn't even tell which one [of us]was their mother," Treni confessed.

Sure, Euis Trena and Elis Treni had spent their entire lives apart. But you sure wouldn't know any better. "[We're] the same. She is talkative, so am I. She's stubborn, so am I," Treni gushed. Perhaps the only difference? "She's more patient than me," she joked.

Their Stance With Their Birth Parents
