You might think you've seen the last of Tiger King ever since Joe Exotic was locked away, and the Netflix series ended, but we're here to tell you there's always room for more. Jeff Lowe, the former business partner of Joe Exotic, has announced that he's coming out with his own reality show that gives a different perspective on ownership of big cats.
"It'll be our narrative on the Tiger King with evidence to support our sides of the stories," Lowe explained. "It will be about the transfer of all these beautiful animals from Joe's facility to the new facility." His wife, Lauren, has made it her mission to shine a more positive light on the concept of owning a zoo, and show that it's not always abusive to the animals.
"Just showing the animals going from small enclosures to bigger enclosures," said Lauren. "We just want to put a brighter light on things because everybody wants to put a horrible light on roadside zoos." The series is being produced by The Content Group, in California, and they're currently working on pre-production.
The couple plans to start filming the show later this summer after coronavirus has settled down more. Since the one and only Carole Baskin has been granted control of Exotic's zoo, Lowe has been ordered to vacate within 120 days. Therefore, he's currently building a new facility called "Tiger King Park," in Thackerville, Oklahoma. This is where he'll bring the animals from Joe's old zoo.
