Season 12 of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Has Officially Begun Filming

For all those Curb Your Enthusiasm fans out there, we have some prett-ay exciting news! One of our favorite characters from the long-running HBO show Richard Lewis, has, in fact, confirmed that Larry David and the gang are currently filming season 12 of the show. Now that's the news we've all been waiting for!

The show's creator and star, Larry David, confirmed the news of the twelfth season back in April, and finally, now we're getting some answers! The hilarious sitcom began back in 2000 and has stretched out over 22 years, with some breaks here and there, but now we're hoping to see this season release during the new year. Unlike any other series, the unscripted series only films when Larry has new ideas to bring to the table, so we're thrilled to hear those ideas are brewing!

Richard Lewis, who plays a fictionalized version of himself on the sitcom, took to Twitter to confirm the show is in production and the cameras are rolling. "I'm back shooting Curb! I'm a lucky cat to be with my oldest pal, who just so happens to be a genius. Don't tell him I called him that, or he'll mock me to my grave. A 22-year ride so far!" Lewis tweeted. Despite their constant hilarious squabble in the series, the comedian has portrayed one of David's closest confidantes since the series began over two decades ago. Lewis continued to spread the holiday cheer when he returned to his personal Twitter a few days later to share the team is currently shooting season 12. "Larry David gave me the greatest Hanukkah present this year. We're shooting #curb season 12! ⁦@HBO," he shared with his 231K followers. Now that is the ultimate Hanukkah present for us all!

Although Lewis did not provide any details on the show's timeline, we are thrilled to hear Larry David and the gang are together once again. Earlier this month, JB Smoove (Leon Black) also shared on Instagram a BTS clip of the cast getting together to begin filming, with a sneak peek of some of our favorite characters, Jeff Garlin and Susie Essman. The bar is set prett-ay, pretty-ay, prett-ay high for season 12, especially following the enormous success of the show's eleventh season-but, we're confident that David and co. will not disappoint!
