Pete Davidson is just like us. He knows the pain we feel when we're in the mood for a movie night but don't want it to take us into the early hours of the morning. He may be one of the most famous comedians in the world, but even he can't bear to sit through a three-hour-long movie, stuck to his seat and falling asleep. That's why he used his popular Saturday Night Live role to make the public service announcement and call on the streaming giants to help us all out. As it turns out, his words were even more powerful than we thought...

In case you somehow missed the SNL episode last Saturday night, Pete and his friends made a hilarious skit titled Short *ss Movies, where he complained about the lengthy movies available online. "These days, when I sit down to watch a movie, I can find just about anything in the world," Davidson joked in the clip. "But night after night, there's only one kind of movie I'm always looking for, and that's a short-*ss movie. A really short movie like at most an hour 40." We feel ya, Pete.

Specifically, he refers to movies such as The Batman, which has a three-hour run time. "I heard The Batman was great, so I went to a theater and saw it. I pissed my pants twice; that s*** was longer than the Hobbit," he rapped. "We tried to watch the movie Heat when we was hanging at my house, but barely 20 minutes in, my boys were drooling on the couch." the comedian teased.

It may be down to his new Kim Kardashian-tapped powers, but Pete's words reached the ears of Netflix, and they have obediently listened to his wishes, creating a new category in his honor. Alongside a clip of the sketch, the streaming site tweeted the link to the new category with the caption "good idea." Titled Short *ss Movies, the site now has a dedicated section for all their movies running under 1 hour and 40 minutes. With subcategories for scary, action, comedy, romantic, and crime, there's something for everyone. Has this answered all your movie night desires? Check out the category here! Hurry, it may not be there for long!
