In light of season 47 (yes, 47) of Saturday Night Live coming to a close, some of the biggest names in television have officially made their exit from the beloved series. Kate McKinnon, Pete Davidson, Aidy Bryant, and Kyle Mooney have all departed from the show, leaving fans and probably fellow cast members confused and wondering if anyone else is planning on going? Of course, our immediate concerns went out to our favorite Weekend Update-ers, Michael Che and Colin Jost...
Some of Saturday Night Live's most prominent players, including Pete Davidson, have already left SNL's stage. We are definitely sad to see them go, but excited to see what's next for the hilarious sketches. This was the first round of exits for the long-time cast members, with more comedians potentially leaving right before the new season begins. Before season 47 came to a close, there were some floating rumors that our very own Michael Che was suspected of leaving. Luckily, during a recent conversation on The Bill Simmons Podcast, he addressed the rumors - giving us some much-needed peace of mind.
Che appeared on an episode of The Bill Simmons Podcast where he revealed to the host (and all of us) more about his fate on Saturday Night Live. "I think I'm staying. I think I'm staying. I don't know. That's the thing. I never know. Once the season is over, it's best to not make decisions like this toward the end of the year because all you wanna do is get out of there. You feel like you've had your fill, but August or September is usually a different story. But I don't have any plans to leave just yet," he explained to Simmons.

The brilliant comedian started his career with SNL back in 2013, first as a guest writer and soon after became a staff writer. In 2014, he was paired with Colin Jost as the co-anchor on the infamous Weekend Update desk, where the dynamic duo absolutely dominated the screen week after week. Now a co-head writer alongside Jost, we can't imagine Saturday nights without him. So we're hoping by the time season 48 rolls around in the Fall, we'll see Che (and Jost, of course) doing their thing behind the Weekend Update desk! 'Til then, stay tuned.
