The comedian is bringing his hilarious humor straight to Starz after the show was originally planned to be in development with HBO Max. Here's what to expect.

The comedian has been in the game a long, long time, and everything he touches simply turns into gold. Along with his brother, the Wayans are comedic legends in Hollywood, so we can only imagine the laughs that will come from the series! Marlon is everything - from an actor to comedian, writer, and producer but is commonly known for collaborating with his brother, Shawn Wayans. The two had a hilarious sitcom on The WB in 1995, The Wayans Bros., that followed the two as they went on epic and hilarious adventures together. The two also starred together in White Chicks in 2004, and well, let's just call that one of the funniest films of all time. Since then, the actor has appeared in numerous films. Book of Marlon is the actors' followup to the 2017 NBC series, Marlon, which ran for two seasons. Marlon Wayans will be starring, co-writing, and serving as an executive producer in the project, alongside the actors' longtime producing partner and a few more comedic legends! Although the show was originally planned in 2020 for HBO Max, the show never went into production and now is a proud part of the Starz family. "We're excited to be in business with such enthusiastic partners," Wayans gushed. "Starz is a big brand, and we are happy to bring some smiles to the table," added Wayans. "It's great to know that we can push the envelope and get into some good, fun trouble with this project on this platform."

The 30-minute episodes will showcase Wayans as a fictionalized version of himself, as he goes through the ups and downs of life in showbusiness while balancing his life as a family man. According to the actor himself, "Book of Marlon will be smart, fun and twisted with a dash of heart and a whole lot of unapologetic humor." Sign us up!
