Keke Palmer Makes Special Announcement During 'SNL' Sketch

Keke Palmer did not only star as the host of the most recent SNL episode, but she had a very special announcement to make. On December 3rd, the 29-year-old took center stage to perform her monologue in front of a live studio audience. Rather than a cold open, it was most definitely a warm welcome. For starters, her well-recited monologue was on point - but it only got better once she revealed the big news: the Nope star certainly has a way with words, and she plotted this announcement to the last detail. She started off by preaching, "people have been in my comments saying, 'Keke's having a baby, Keke's pregnant,' and I want to set the record straight." As she popped open her brown blazer, she smirked at the audience as she confirmed, "I am." Of course, the audience returned with a loud cheer, and Palmer continued to beam with joy as she proudly rubbed her belly. The best part was when she struggled to button her blazer back up!

Oh, what a year this has been for Miss Keke! After her announcement, she joked with the audience, "I gotta say, though, it is bad when people on the internet spread rumors about you y'all, but it's even worse when they're correct. I mean, like, I was trying so hard to keep it on the down low, cause I got a lot of stuff going on, you know?" Trust us, Keke, these fans have their ways of digging deep to find out the truth. In hindsight, we are so excited for the comedian and Hustlers star. Last year, she confessed to Glamour, "My 28th year has been highly insightful and empowering for me to step into my autonomy in an even crazier way than I ever have. I feel like when God gives you gifts, you want to make sure you do what you need to do with them. Do what you're meant to do." Oh, but what a year she has ahead of her, and we think it's going to be even better! Thankfully, she has the daddy of her future baby, Darius Jackson, to support her on this journey.

Though in recent years, she has expressed to Harper's Bazaar that she prefers to keep her relationships private. She said, "mainly because I don't know how I would do it without looking, like, cheesy or something, you know?" But she came out of her shell and announced the news in the best way possible.
