Reese Witherspoon and Will Ferell are the ultimate movie duo. With both their stellar box office records, it makes total sense that any project with their names attached will trigger an intense bidding war for the rights. An untitled film, written and directed by Nick Stoller and set to feature both the stars, caused a stir in the streaming world market, with all the biggest sites desperate to land the script. But it was Amazon Studios who came out victorious. Here's what to expect...
Not only are Will and Reese on board to appear as the stars of the movie, but they will also both be producing, working under the banner of their respective production companies. Ferrell will work alongside Jessica Elbaum for Gloria Sanchez, and Witherspoon will team up with Lauren Neustadter for Hello Sunshine. Considering that Reese's production company already has several projects in the works with Amazon, this film should fit right in alongside the others!
Hello Sunshine is currently producing a musical drama series Daisy Jones & The Six, starring Riley Keough and Sam Claflin. They're also penning the holiday romantic comedy Something From Tiffany's, starring and executive produced by Zoey Deutch. This is the production company behind some of the most popular television shows, such as Big Little Lies, Little Fires Everywhere, and The Morning Show! All productions featuring Witherspoon herself, it seems Reese has yet to release a flop. Gloria Sanchez has also got a few blockbuster hits under its name - such as Eurovision, Barb & Star Go to Vista Del Mar, Hustlers, and Booksmart. They also own the rights to the hilarious Netflix series, Dead to Me.

It's not just the production team that comes highly recommended. Writer and director Stoller has found great success with his hilarious movies, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Neighbors, Zoolander 2, and The Muppets. Little has been released so far in regards to the movie's plot, but it is believed the film will center around two weddings that were mistakenly booked at the same venue on the same night. With this team's track record, whatever the premise, it's set to be a winner! Until we know more, stay tuned!
