Ellen Is Back With A New YouTube Series!
| LAST UPDATE 10/24/2022
It's been five long months since Ellen DeGeneres took her last dance on the stage of her daytime talk show. With a tear in her eye, she said her goodbyes, dreaming of a more simple lifestyle at home with her wife, Portia De Rossi. However, while she's loving the downtime, it appears Ellen is missing the cameras. Her solution? She's bringing the cameras into her home, allowing us to take a sneak peek at the hobbies she's picked up on since we last saw her. The docu-style series titled About Time For Yourself…with Ellen will be streamed weekly on YouTube. Here's everything we know so far...
"Hey everybody, how you doin'?" DeGeneres asked the audience in the show's trailer. "Lately, I've been taking some time for just myself, away from the cameras, and I've been having such a great time, I thought I would share some of what I've been doing with you. And so I yelled, 'Portia, get the camera,' so thanks Portia for doing this. Great job, so far." First up is crocheting, which Ellen says she just learned, and it's "not that hard!"
"After stepping out of the spotlight of her iconic talk show, Ellen is trying something bold and new being unemployed," the official show description read. "In the wake of the Great Resignation, she's reconnecting with her audience who may also have more time on their hands, and if not, could certainly use some. In this new series shot at her home, Ellen shares her own attempts to try new things and make a little me time in her own very Ellen way."
"I feel like everybody should take time for themselves, so we should do it together!" the former tv-host told her fans in the video. From card-making to bird-watching, the eight-episode series will feature Ellen learning and practicing all sorts of skills and there's a chance we will all learn something too! Check out the first episode now on her YouTube channel and tune in every Saturday for a new dose of fun!
