Alonzo became the first Latina to produce, create and star in her own sitcom on ABC, Cristela, back in 2014. The star was a seasoned co-host on the talk show, The View and was the first Latina to lead a Disney Pixar film in Cars 3. Recently you might have caught her on HBO's His Dark Materials, The Upshaws, and the first season of CW's competition series, Legends of the Huddle Temple, where she hosted. She released a book in 2018, Music to My Years: A Mixtape Memoir of Growing Up and Standing Up, and currently has a podcast titled, To Be Continued, where she "mixes sketch, social commentary and well, really whatever comes to my [her] mind."
