Fans around the world are excited to see Channing Tatum back on the big screen and doing what he does best - bringing his audience's favorite characters to life. But apparently, a lot of hard - and sometimes awkward - work is put in to get the job done. In a recent interview, Tatum and co-star Sandra Bullock revealed what went on behind the scenes in their upcoming comedy adventure film, The Lost City.

The Gravity actress hilariously shared what it was like to pull leeches off her co-star's buttocks as they filmed one of the scenes, saying that Tatum was "naked as a jaybird." In the scene, romance novelist Loretta (played by Bullock) and her book's cover model, Alan (played by Tatum), are lost together in a jungle after he attempts to save her from a billionaire (Radcliffe) who kidnaps her while she's on tour. Tatum's character ends up with several leeches stuck to his back and bottom, leaving the task of removing them to his co-star. Bullock added that she very clearly remembers shooting the scene. "He worked so hard for a comedic moment that he knew needed to look and be a certain way. And I spent the remainder of the day just looking at it all, having long monologues to his bits and pieces," she shared.

The hilarious moment was teased in the movie's trailer. In the clip, Alan appears to desperately ask for Loretta's help removing leeches from his back as he winces in pain. The scene only becomes funnier when the character pulls down his pants, revealing even more leeches for his co-star to pull off. As though it weren't awkward enough, Tatum added that the leeches weren't real, so a crew member had to glue them to Tatum's body. "We didn't have any live leeches on set. We had a man gluing rubber leeches to my butt," the actor joked to Variety. "That was my second day on set, and I had to be buck naked. I was like, 'Hi, my name is Chan. I'll be naked today.' Everyone is trying to look up and away." Talk about a tough day at the office!
