"If you're wondering how I got here, well-baby, I'll tell you," as she herself put it: She's the hilarious comedian Catherine Cohen. Netflix just released the Hollywood funny lady's debut comedy special trailer for The Twist…? She's Gorgeous - and it's hilarious. Here's what we know so far.
The Twist…? She's Gorgeous trailer opens up with Cohen looking at herself in the mirror, Hollywood make-up on, ready to take center stage, saying, "I feel completely insane, but I look literally stunning." Yas qween. The camera follows Cohen on stage, debuting her fur coat, sparkly hot pink dress, and matching white knee-high boots. The "self-proclaimed self-obsessed millennial on the prowl with her beaded bag" is known for her weekly cabaret shows at Alan Cumming's bar Club Cumming - so naturally, the trailer features her singing her heart out and showing us her dance moves. The special was directed by Steve Brill and was taped at Joe's Pub in New York City. Something just feels right about Joe's Pub, doesn't it?
If you're a millennial on social media, odds are you know who Cat Cohen is. Maybe you've been to one of her infamous cabarets shows at Club Cumming in the city, picked up her book God I Feel Modern Tonight: Poems From A Gal About Town, or have listened to her hysterical podcast Seek Treatment co-hosted by fellow comedian Pat Regan. The NYC-based actress and comedian made various TV appearances on Broad City, Search Party, and What We Do in the Shadows.
