Adam Sandler's daughters are taking Hollywood by storm in his latest Netflix comedy, You Are SO Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah. Sadie, 16, and Sunny, 14, may have flown under the radar with their cameos in Sandler's previous films, but this time they're taking center stage in a big way!
The new film is based on Fiona Rosenbloom's popular young adult novel of the same name, which follows Stacy as she prepares for her Bat Mitzvah. Her mission? To win the heart of her crush, Andy Goldfarb. But when she catches her best friend, Lydia Katz, kissing him, she utters those iconic words that give the film its title. In addition to Sandler and his talented daughters, You Are SO Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah also stars Idina Menzel, who reunites with Sandler after playing his wife in Uncut Gems. Sadie has also landed a much bigger role in the film as Ronnie Friedman, while Sunny will play the lead character, Stacy. Even Sandler's wife Jackie will make an appearance!
But that's not all – according to The Blast, Sadie and Sunny are set to earn $65,000 each for their roles. Not bad for such young actors! Director Sammi Cohen promises that the movie is more than just a Jewish flick. "It's a movie about being human," she says. "We all experience the awkwardness of growing up and finding our place in the world, regardless of our cultural background." With relatable characters and a universal coming-of-age theme, we're sure this movie will be a hit with audiences of all backgrounds.
