For those who need a reminder of the iconic tune, check out the original music video below! The singer has certainly grown up throughout the last several years. She now sports bright blue hair, several tattoos and has even started her own merch line to accompany her week-old song, "Girlfriend."
While "Girlfriend" is currently sitting pretty at 281K views, "Friday (Remix)" has already been viewed over 702K times. Leading up to its big YouTube debut, Black posted music video snippets on Instagram for several days. And, per fan comments such as, "The features!! I cannot wait," it was clear that excitement was growing!
Rebecca posted a sneak peek of the new music video on her social media, giving credit to the people who helped bring her vision to life. The eye-capturing video features Black driving in a car, this time, in the front seat! In it, she sports a trendy leather jacket, fun spiky jewelry, and her hair in a long ponytail with bangs.
As if two new songs in two weeks wasn't enough of an accomplishment for the young star, Rebecca shared more thrilling news. The original "Friday" has gone gold! Black took to Instagram to say, "This week FRIDAY turns 10 AND has gone GOLD. been cooking up a very special remix featuring some iconic people."
