For those who somehow missed it - during the 2022 Academy Awards Show, a very unexpected and *shocking* incident went down: Chris Rock was standing in front of the crowd when he cracked a joke about Jada Smith's hair - something her husband, Will Smith, didn't exactly find funny. So, in her defense, the actor stood up from his seat, walked over to the comedian on stage... and slapped him. Yes, really.

But if that somehow wasn't enough to stun audiences, Smith didn't stop there. "Keep my wife's name out of your ****ing mouth," the actor shouted. Of course, the wild occurrence, which happened during the live taping of the Oscars, instantly blew up. Here are the funniest reactions so far.

From Nicole Kidman to Lupita Nyong'o, it seems the other stars in attendance that night were just as shocked as we were about the whole showdown. And honestly, can we really blame them? But that was probably the least funny thing to come out of it all. Of course, we're talking about the Twitterverse - who wasted no time creating hilarious memes and reactions. For example, one person referred to the Euphoria season 2 finale when *spoiler alert* Cassie went up on stage to stop the production.

Others used the now-infamous picture of the slap to make lighthearted jokes. "Will Smith’s marriage open to everything except jokes," one person teased, referring to Will and Jada's famously open relationship which has become a viral topic online in recent months. Another person poked fun at how other comedians may now be worried about the jokes they were planning on delivering during the 94th Oscars. (Ahem, Kevin Hart.) Safe to say, all odds are off when it comes to Hollywood. Stay tuned for more updates. (And be sure to check out the full, uncensored exchange, here.)
