Vows are supposed to be one of the most special parts of a wedding ceremony, right? Well, this couple from South Carolina went viral from the hilarious stunt the bride pulled when saying their 'I Do's!' Christie and Byron Jeffries finally tied the knot after 15 years together at the School House Venue in Travelers Rest, South Carolina - and the world couldn't believe Christie's hysterical move while she was standing at the altar! Here's what you missed.
Byron and Christies's love story began back in 2006 when the couple was introduced to one another through mutual friends at Clemson University. However, they didn't start dating until the following year when Byron pulled the ultimate move and gave his now-wife a candy on Valentine's Day that simply said, "I want you." Though the couples had their ups and downs throughout the years, at the end of the day, they knew they were each other's soulmates. And on November 13, 2021, they finally got engaged at the place they first met all those years ago.
So, let's fast forward to the wedding day. In a clip shared on social media by the venue, we see the couple standing face-to-face as they prepare to exchange their intimate vows with one another. Christie whips out her vows, unfolds the paper, and then hilariously blows fake dust off the sheet. LOL! The couple's friends and family immediately begin applauding and laughing at the hilarious stunt, while Byron seems both surprised and entertained. "Absolutely hilarious! Extremely witty + clever move by our bride, Christie, the other weekend during their ceremony vow exchange," the venue captioned the video on TikTok, which now has 2.5 million likes!

Extremely witty + clever move by our bride, Christie, the other weekend during their ceremony vow exchange 😆 As a tribute to being together almost 15 years, Christie decided to “blow the dust” off of her ceremony vows in preparation for reading her vows to Byron! At the end of the day, the moment defined the couple's playful relationship. Byron shared, "Without laughter and love, I don't think we could've gotten through 15 years together." The couple's wedding day was filled with hilarious references to their incredibly long relationship. The groom shared with NBC affiliate WYFF that their wedding hashtag was #AlwaysLateButWorthTheWait, a statement Byron ended his vows with, and the couple even had a giant glow-up sign that read "FINALLY" for them to take photos with. Ultimately, the comedic moments were only small snippets of the couple's love they have for one other, but man, were they hilarious! Congratulations to the happy couple!
