An animal shelter in New York has gone viral with their hilariously honest review of a dog in their care. Meet Ralphie. He’s a “whole jerk - not even half.” Here’s more about the barking sensation...

Ralphie is a French bulldog who may actually be “a fire-breathing demon,” at least according to the shelter he currently calls home! The Niagara SPCA is a no-kill shelter that works to re-house animals that have been abandoned. The 26-pound Frenchie has been living at the shelter since his second family of owners surrendered him after he annoyed the older dog. As the animal shelter put it, “What they actually meant was: Ralphie is a fire-breathing demon and will eat our dog, but hey, he’s only 26lbs.” The shelter shared a post describing the French bulldog for possible adoption. When CNN’s Jeanne Moss interviewed the shelter’s executive director, Amy Lewis, she said, “I was going to just be brutally honest.” Brutally honest, she was!

In the now-viral post, Lewis wrote, “Lots of people withheld Ralphie’s less than desirable traits, but we’re going to tell you all about it.” The post has garnered around 3.5K likes, 1.4K comments, and a whole lotta love from other difficult dogs, just like Ralphie. Owners posted photos of their pets, describing how they sounded just like Ralphie. One user even commented, “Little Ralphie here sounds like a reincarnated Boba Fett. We lost him the year before last to cancer.” Despite the caution to proceed at your own risk, people cannot help but love Ralphie, who Lewis also described as “a terror in a somewhat small package.” The shelter has been posting updates on Ralphie’s progress, sharing photos of a successful field trip. Ralphie, accompanied by two workers from the shelter, went to Joann Fabrics and enjoyed a day outside. Not all hope is lost for the Frenchie. Lewis wrote, “The ideal home for Ralphie is the Mother of Dragons, or an adult home free of other animals, with an owner who will lead him calmly and sternly- putting up with zero cr*p.” Plus, his previous trainer offered to work again with whoever is the lucky family that adopts him.

Dogs will always have a special place in our hearts. While Ralphie may be a fire-breathing demon, he is undoubtedly adorable! Hopefully, this viral sensation will find a new home to love and care for him. Stay tuned for more updates.
