In case you somehow missed it, Yearly Departed premiered for the first time at the very end of 2020. The idea? To say goodbye to everything that unprecedented year brought. The leaders of the eulogy for the year we all wanted to forget included the likes of Tiffany Haddish, Sarah Silverman, Phoebe Robinson, Rachel Brosnahan, and Natasha Rothwell.

While Amazon has yet to announce which women comedians will be heading Season 2, we do know who will be hosting it: Insecure star Yvonne Orji. As for what topics will be covered by the all-women cast? We're guessing anything and everything from more annoying Zoom meetings to Hot Vaxx Summer.

"With another chaotic year of ups and downs almost behind us, we're ready to say goodbye to 2021 - and who better to send the year off than the funniest women in the business," said Vernon Sanders, Amazon Studios' head of television. "Yvonne, Rachel [Brosnahan], and the entire team will help Prime Video viewers end 20021 with some much-needed laughter."

And it looks like the show's host is just as excited to see what the funny gals bring as we are. "In my career, I've been fortunate to work on a show that was created by Blacks, for Black characters," shared Yvonne. "And now, I get to host a special that was written by all women, featuring a lineup of incredibly funny female comedians, directed by a talented female director, and produced by a group of amazing female producers. I guess lightning CAN strike twice!"

Last year's season earned a WGA Award nomination in the Comedy Specials category, and some of the same people who made that magic happen will be back on board for this new season. "I, and team Scrap Paper Pictures, couldn't be more excited to rejoin this team of powerhouse producers, writers, and our talented director, Linda Mendoza, to bring another Yearly Departed into the world. I can think of no better group of women to bid adieu and f*** you to 2021," said Executive Producer Rachel Brosnahan.
