John Cena and Alison Brie are in for a wild ride by the looks of this trailer. The trailer for their latest film, Freelance, has just been released. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming movie.

The action-comedy follows former military special forces operative Mason Pettis, portrayed by The Suicide Squad actor John Cena. After completing his time in the military, Pettis has settled into a civilian lifestyle with his wife and kids. He has a house, a family, and a big-time job as a lawyer, and still, something is missing. So, when he’s offered a hefty check of $20,000 to complete a job, he takes the offer. The job is simple. He’s going to accompany journalist Claire Wellington, played by Community alum Alison Brie, as her security detail as she takes a trip to the fictional country of Pandoña, where she’ll be meeting with the country’s dictator President Venegas, played by Narcos alum Juan Pablo Raba. However, things take a turn for the worse when the trio is attacked and forced to flee into the jungle. Now, the unlikely group must work together to survive.

Based on the trailer, it looks like it will be a hilarious and action-packed adventure. We can’t wait to watch Brie, Cena, and Raba traverse the jungle together. Brie spoke with People about the experience of filming in Colombia, “We did shoot scenes where we’re going through a river, this rapids river, and I’m up to my neck in the water and stuff like that, which is really fun and adventurous. Honestly, sometimes just a regular day shooting in the jungle feels like doing your own stunts because there’s an interesting terrain and wildlife that you’re navigating.” The film is directed by Pierre Morel, best known for his action flick Taken starring Liam Neeson. Christian Slater, Marton Csokas, and Alice Eve appear in the film. We’ll all have to patiently wait to see Freelance on the big screen. The film is due for an October 6 theatrical release.

If the movie is as fun as the trailer, audiences are in for a special treat with this action-comedy. Stay tuned for more updates about Freelance and other upcoming releases.
