Tiffany Haddish Set to Star in Upcoming Comedy 'The Afterparty'

Can anyone be a murderer? Well, the writers behind Apple TV's new comedy The Afterparty seem to think so, as they teased the series debut with a thrilling trailer. Here's what you can expect.

When a night of partying and nostalgia ends with a gruesome death, 8 former classmates set out to uncover the truth by joining in a hilarious round of whodunnit. From the producers behind 21 Jump Street, Into the Spider-Verse, and The Lego Movie, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, The Afterparty presents a unique retelling of one crazy night's events as told from a handful of mixed perspectives and genres. “By giving each episode its own unique style of storytelling, we were able to make what feels like eight distinctly different but interconnected films that highlight how everyone’s personal perspective and biases shape how they see the world,” admitted Lord and Miller.

Stars of the upcoming series include some comedic favorites like Tiffany Haddish, Ike Barinholtz, Dave Franco, Ben Shwartz and Illana Glazer. Set to debut in January of 2022, the show is anticipated to make a splash with Apple viewers as one of the platforms monthly new releases. So who will you be watching?

Featured as Detective Danner, comedic legend Tiffany Haddish landed one of the leading roles with her character tasked in discovering the motive and criminal behind the mysterious murder. Filled with wacky accusations, laugh out loud antics and many cringe-worthy moments, this new series seems one to watch. Producers Lord and Miller confessed, "This is one of the most surprising, original, and fun projects we’ve ever made.” And although the new show is an original that will only be available on Apple TV+, the duo has put a new and exciting spin on comedic crime that is making some fans eager for it to hit screens.
