The Comedy Nominations for the 2021 Critics' Choice Awards Are Here!

The nominees for the Critics' Choice Awards of 2021 have been released, and some of comedy's most acclaimed shows earned a spot in the Best Series category.

The Critics' Choice Association's nominees for Best Comedy Series are Better Things (FX), The Flight Attendant (HBO Max), Mom (CBS), PEN15 (Hulu), Ramy (Hulu), Schitt's Creek (Pop), Ted Lasso (Apple TV+), and What We Do in the Shadows (FX). Two of these shows are top contenders for multiple categories.

What We Do in the Shadows and Schitt's Creek are leading the pack in the comedy categories, with a total of five nominations each. What We Do in the Shadows' Matt Berry and Natasia Demetriou are nominated for Best Actor and Best Actress in a Comedy Series, while castmates Harvey Guillen and Mark Proksch are both up for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

Schitt's Creek's cast is seeing similar success. Eugene Levy is a contender for Best Actor in a Comedy Series, and Catherine O'Hara for Best Actress in a Comedy Series. Daniel Levy and Annie Murphy are nominees for Best Supporting Actor/Actress in a Comedy Series.

Some notable nominees from other hit shows include Hank Azaria (Brockmire), Nicholas Hoult (The Great), Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso), and Ramy Youssef (Ramy) for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. In the Best Actress category are Pamela Adlon (Better Things), Christina Applegate (Dead to Me), Kaley Cuoco (The Flight Attendant), and Issa Rae (Insecure).
