Yes, you read that right. Next time you find yourself struggling, as you 'search' for the perfect movie during a special night in, Netflix will be happy to lend you a hand. In other words, you can officially skip right past the 'Netflix' and head on straight to the 'Chill.' You're welcome.
Since July, the streaming service has been testing out a swanky new feature, with the sole “purpose of the test to make it easier for members to find something to watch,” as a Netflix spokesperson put it. So, what exactly do the Netflix gods have planned for us?
“Shuffle Play." Not ringing a bell? That's because only some of us lucky viewers have been blessed with the game-changing feature. According to the company, the button is still in an initial test phase, meaning only connected-TV devices will get to try it out for now.
Those Friends reruns simply not cutting it anymore? Can't agree with your 'difficult' sibling on the right pick? No need for World War III, allow Netflix to do the picking for you.
How does it work? Based on both your previous binge-watching habits, and those forgotten flicks stowed away in your 'Watch List,' the shuffle feature will randomly (yet strategically) introduce you to your newest binge, and we've never been more impressed.
So what are you waiting for? Head on over to your 'user profile' home screen, (where you can find the new feature), to give your luck a try. Besides, Netflix are definitely going to spoil you this September. You didn't hear it from us, but with this impressive new hack, you're odds of getting lucky are looking pretty high.
