Get ready to both laugh and cry within mere seconds of each other because HBO is releasing a posthumous documentary about Bob Einstein. The film will give an inside look into the late actor's life and career - and feature several iconic faces from the world of comedy. Here's everything you need to know.

The legendary Bob Einstein passed away in January of 2019, bringing a wave of shock and grief over the comedic world. The actor, writer, and producer kicked off his career on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour and The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour. Today, he's most remembered for his parts as Super Dave Osbourne, Larry the Middleman on Arrested Development, and, of course, Marty Funkhouser in Curb Your Enthusiasm.

And now, some of the lucky folks who had the chance to work with the funny guy during his four decades in Hollywood will be paying tribute to him in The Super Bob Einstein Movie. Steve Martin, Larry David, Susie Essman, Jerry Seinfeld, J.B. Smoove, David Letterman, Sarah Silverman, and Jimmy Kimmel are just some of the stars who'll be featured in the upcoming documentary. These comedy icons will reveal details about working with Bob - and Curb Your Enthusiasm fans will be happy to know that his time as Marty Funkhouser will receive plenty of (well-deserved) attention!

"Never have I seen an actor enjoy a role the way Bob did playing Marty Funkhouser on Curb," David said at the time of his late friend and co-star's passing in 2019. "It was an amazing, unforgettable experience knowing and working with him. There was no one like him, as he told us again and again. We're all in a state of shock."

In contrast to Larry's sweet statement, the new film will show him in his more typical, unenthusiastic mood, as he remembers the late actor. "I think [Bob would] get a kick out of the fact that I have to sit here and do this, knowing that I really don't want to," David hilariously quips in the newly-released trailer (above).

The Super Bob Einstein Movie is set to premiere on HBO on December 28th, so get those televisions ready and bring out the tissue box.
