It was announced recently that Selena Gomez will be hosting the May 14 episode of Saturday Night Live - alongside musical guest Post Malone! Over the past few days, Selena has been warming up her comedic skills in preparation for her big debut. Uploading a string of hilarious TikTok videos, the actress/singer proves that she is the ultimate triple-threat, getting us even more excited for her SNL comedic performance...

In response to the news, Selena commented on the announcement the way she knows best - through a TikTok trend. With the words "when I found out I'm hosting Saturday Night Live" written above, she flawlessly executed the infamously funny TikTok sound of Katy Perry asking an American Idol contestant if she is alright. "No [laughs awkwardly] no, but yes... I'm so good," Selena responds through the voice of the contestant. With this reaction clip, she demonstrates to audiences that while she understands the enormity of the moment, she is laughing her way through it like a true comedian.

In another hilarious clip, Gomez takes on the iconic "write-off" scene from the hilarious Schitt's Creek. Channeling her inner David Rose, she perfectly lip dubs his confusion over the concept of government tax write-offs. "Uh, it's when you buy something for your business, and the government pays you back for it," he explains to his father, David Rose. Her accurate portrayal of his facial expressions and hand gestures show her perfect comedic delivery and timing.

While many fans are hoping Selena's Only Murders In The Building co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short make an appearance, no official announcement has been made regarding this. On Late Night With Seth Meyers, she insisted her legendary co-stars "have a humor that just doesn't exist anymore" and admitted that they have taught her "so much about comedy." With this in mind, we're imagining that the comedic giants will offer her some words of advice for her upcoming show, considering their own SNL track records! Catch the highly anticipated episode on May 14 and the second season of OMITB on June 28 on Hulu.
