Rainn Wilson, best known for his role as Dwight Schrute in the popular television show The Office, has recently been in the news. According to a variety of sources, despite the success and popularity of the show, Wilson has revealed that he was mostly unhappy during the filming of The Office.

In recent interviews, he has expressed that while he was making hundreds of thousands of dollars on the show, he aspired to be a movie star earning millions. This dissatisfaction stemmed from his desire to expand his career beyond the character of Dwight Schrute and explore other roles in the film industry. Additionally, it was noted that Wilson had nearly missed out on the opportunity to be part of The Office as he was attached to another series pilot when the show was starting pre-production.

Despite his expressed unhappiness during the filming of The Office, Wilson's portrayal of Dwight Schrute remains one of the most beloved characters from the show. His performance has not only brought him recognition but also won him two SAG awards for best comedy ensemble on the series.
