It looks like we've got a hilarious summer in store for us thanks to Netflix's long list of upcoming comedies. But we're here to talk about their upcoming rom-com starring stand-up vet Iliza Shlesinger. Here's what we know about her latest on-screen adventure.

The film, titled Good on Paper, is actually developed from a screenplay Shlesinger concocted from her own romantic past. Leave it a true comedian to turn her dating misfortunes into a blockbuster. The film follows the story of Andrea Singer, a comedian who "after years of putting her career first, meets a guy who seems perfect." But as the Netflix synopsis put it, it was "too good to be true." This unique twist on the traditional rom-com is set to tackle... the catfish.

Iliza's not the only heavy-hitter featured in the upcoming film. Fellow cast members include Friendsgiving's Ryan Hansen and stand-up comedian Margaret Cho. Fans of the 2 comedic geniuses know nothing's off the table, so it's no surprise Netflix has categorized this film as "raunchy, irreverent, and goofy." From the trailer alone, we were treated to hilarious boxing clips and LOL-worthy interrogation tactics employed by protective friends.

Safe to say, the upcoming comedy has all the makings of a classic. But with a summer chock-full of rivaling releases, how is Good on Paper going to stand up to the competition? With Shlesinger penning the script, we're not too worried. Over her career, Iliza's proved more than capable of bringing laughs to her audience, and many would agree that this trailer was no exception. The clip gave a peek of what's to come with clever puns like "cuttle-fishing," a term aimed at her boyfriend. Have a look for yourself below.
