Netflix recently announced a new special coming our way - and let's just say we're getting excited. Next up to get roasted is none other than the Jonas Brothers. And whether you love them or hate them, this is sure to be one memorable night of comedy.
The news dropped earlier this week on October 25th, when the streaming service's comedy-oriented Instagram page released a trailer for the upcoming special. "It's the Jonas Brothers like you've never seen them before," @netflixisajoke captioned the teaser. "Getting a roasting they'll never forget." The clip featured Nick, Joe, and Kevin running through the highlights of the new project, which featured some pretty big names in the entertainment business.
First off, the one-of-a-kind show will be hosted by none other than Saturday Night Live comedy legend, Kenan Thompson. Kenan will also be joined by special guests including fellow SNL funnyman Pete Davidson, in addition to Gabriel Iglesias, Lilly Singh, and Jack Whitehall. But what would a Jonas Brothers special be without some musical talent as well? Well, Nick, Joe, and Kevin also got that sorted, and they brought Niall Horan and John Legend to join in on the fun. Who knows, they might even join in on the roasting fun themselves.
But the three musical brothers won't just be relying on Emmy Award-winning comedians for jokes. It looks like the brothers will each be grabbing the mic to poke fun at one another. Their goal is to celebrate "the universal truth that no one can get under your skin quite like your family." It's safe to say that fans of Netflix and the Jo Bros alike couldn't have agreed more. The teaser was watched over 50,000 times in just two days and received over 600,000 views on the Jonas Brothers's Instagram page. It's safe to say that the people were at the edge of their seats for more, with one user commenting, "Omg I can't wait to see the boys get roasted," with many others tagging their comedy-loving friends to already plan a watch party.
So be sure to mark your calendars: The Jonas Brothers are about to get roasted to bits on Tuesday, November 23rd.
