Neil Patrick Harris is officially returning to the Big Apple. Only this time around, the How I Met Your Mother star's time in New York is going to look slightly different. Here's what we know about the actor's upcoming comedy series.

Titled Uncoupled, the Netflix sit-com will follow the adventures of Michael: a happily married man (played by Harris) who seemingly has it all. That is until his husband turns his world upside by suddenly leaving him after 17 years. Painful, we know. But the upcoming comedy will also provide lighthearted fun as we watch the promising bachelor navigate his way through New York as a newly single guy.

In addition to starring in the upcoming series, Patrick Harris is also set to executive-produce. But he's not the only familiar face taking a seat in the producer's chair. Jeffrey Richman (famous for penning Modern Family) and Darren Star (the showrunner for Emily in Paris) will also be helping Harris bring the Netflix comedy to life.

Unfortunately, production for Uncoupled is only set to begin later this year. But we've actually got lots of gems to tide us over in the meantime. In case you forgot, Patrick Harris has been quite the busy man these days. From his lead role in a Series of Unfortunate Events to American Horror Story, the actor's long list of accomplishments seem to know no end.

Of course, there's also The Matrix franchise, in which the actor is slated to make his first-ever appearance when it returns to the big screen this Fall. And while his upcoming role in the latest installment might be minor, you can bet it'll be memorable. "The fact that I get a small part in this, and can watch from afar and (watch) the majority of it, and see how it's working and see sort of the machine of it all... I've just been having a blast," Harris gushed. Make sure to catch him alongside Neo when The Matrix 4 debuts on December 22.

And until then, stay tuned...
