Whether you know her from her days as Sookie on Gilmore Girls or her hilarious roles in comedies like Brides Maids and The Boss, few can deny that Melissa McCarthy is a force of comedic nature. And that's why we couldn't be more excited that she's back in a brand-new Netflix comedy, God's Favorite Idiot! And lucky for you, we've got all the details on this upcoming release. So let's dive into it.

The highly anticipated Netflix comedy is set to hit the streaming service on June 15th and features a round-up of cast members that have got "Emmy" written all over it. Who else is joining Melissa in this comedy-fantasy laugh-fest? Well, for starters, she'll be joined by her husband and co-star in the show, Ben Falcone, who plays Clark Thompson and doubles as the show's creator. Also slotted to appear are Usman Ally, Lynn Gilmartin, and fellow Gilmore Girls alum Michel Gerard. But that's enough about the packed cast list; let's get into what this show's all about! As the title suggests, the series tells the story of Clark Thompson, "a tech-support employee [who] becomes the unwitting messenger of God," according to IMDb

In the words of Netflix, "Sweet Clark seems like the last person God would tap to fight evil," but luckily, he's got the help of his rag-tag crew to help him get the seemingly impossible job done. And while we're not sure if he'll succeed or fail, something tells us we're in for some serious laughs either way. And we're not the only ones looking forward to this summer release. In less than a week, the trailer has raked in over 600,000 views on YouTube alone and tons of comments from excited comedy lovers. "Love Melissa McCarthy and with her husband Ben Falcone - what a combination!" one user gushed about the trailer, with another adding, "Represents the perspectives of the people in a different yet funny way, I bet this has loads of laughter in store for us."
