Along with his partner in crime - his best friend, Libby - Nate soon runs into an unexpected visitor: *Enter Lisa Kudrow*. The teen stumbles across his long-lost aunt, Heidi (played by Kudrow), who helps the lost boy navigate his way around his latest chapter. Sound at all familiar? There's good reason for that.
The upcoming comedy is actually based on the 2014 book Better Nate than Never by author Tim Federle. The hilarious tale was so adored, not only did it nab the title of “New York Times Notable Book Of The Year,” but it also went on to have 2 sequels: Five, Six, Seven, Nate! and Nate Expectations.
Does that mean we've got more adventures in the Big Apple with Lisa Kudrow headed our way? We guess we'll have to wait and find out. The future musical is currently under production in New York, being overseen by Disney+. Unfortunately, there won't be any Smelly Cats this time around. As Deadline reported, Lisa Kudrow won't be singing in the upcoming film.
Nonetheless, something tells us we're in for a real treat here. And while we might be waiting a while before we get to tag along for ourselves, we've got plenty of other gems to tide us over in the meantime.
