Kristen Bell's Upcoming Comedy Offers Hilarious Spin On Family Reunions
| LAST UPDATE 08/25/2021
Kristen Bell is making her way back down the aisle. But wait, it's not what you think - she won't be wearing all white this time around. Instead, we'll watch her make for one awkward wedding guest as her on-screen family reunion goes bad, real quick. Here's what we know about her upcoming adventure.
Titled, The People We Hate at the Wedding, the Amazon Studios comedy will take sibling rivalries to the next level as we watch Bell and co-star Ben Platt star as feuding brother and sister. That is, until they join forces for a greater cause: to attend their estranged, wealthy half-sister’s wedding. Safe to say, their trip to the English countryside will be one for the books.

As the wedding week unfolds, we’ll watch as skeletons are lured from the closet, and total chaos ensues. And let’s just say, anyone with a dysfunctional family will be cracking a smile or two at the hilariously relatable comedy. But we’re not just talking about the film's entertaining storyline…
The movie, based upon Grant Grinder's novel of the very same name, will also feature lots of familiar faces. From Pitch Perfect's Ben Platt to I, Tonya's Allison Janney, the star-studded cast is bound to leave us amused. Of course, there's also Schitt's Creek's Annie Murphy, who IMDb currently lists as a "rumored" cast member.
If that's the case, we can't help but wonder if her The Crows Have Eyes' superstar mom will pop in for a quick cameo. As for when we'll be finding that one out for ourselves? According to reports, production is set to commence this September in London.
Until then, we've got lots of other adventures to tide us over. In case you forgot, Bell has been quite the busy lady these days. With the Gossip Girl reboot's July 8th premiere, we've got a feeling we'll be seeing lots more of the actress (or should we say, the one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattan's elite) soon.
Stay tuned.
