The rumors are true: reality television star and beauty mogul Kim Kardashian just hosted Saturday Night Live. And let's just say, the opening monologue involved some open jabs at her ex-husband, famous family, and... herself. Here's everything to know about Kim's hilarious opener.
"I'm excited to be here tonight to show you guys that I'm so much more than just a pretty face and good hair and great makeup and amazing boobs and a perfect butt," the Hollywood icon not-so-humbly started off the night. "Basically, I'm just so much more than that reference photo my sisters showed their plastic surgeons." Yes - she went there. And that was only the beginning of what became a Kardashian Roast.

"But one thing I'm really proud of is that no one can ever call me a gold digger," Kim continued. "Honestly, I'm not even sure how you become one. So I asked my mom's boyfriend Corey [Gamble]." We take that back; it looks like it's a Kardashian-Gamble roast night! If you don't know, Corey Gamble is a 40-year-old business executive and talent manager who has been dating 65-year-old Momager Kris Jenner since 2014. And on October 9th, 2021, he fell victim to Kardashian's brutal SNL monologue.

Kim went on to poke fun at her family's past political aspirations, which didn't face much success. Like that time Kanye West ran for president and Caitlyn Jenner for California's governor. "Now I know we're divided as a country, but I'd love America to come together, which is why I'm here to announce that I'm running for," Kardashian suspensefully said, before adding, "I'm just kidding guys! I'm not running for president. We can't have three failed politicians in one family."
And then, much to viewers' delight, the 40-year-old revealed the reason behind her divorce from Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West. "I've been very blessed in this life, and I'm grateful for everything, honestly, all the ups, all the downs," she said. "I mean, I married the best rapper of all time. Not only that, he's the richest Black man in America, a talented, legit genius, who gave me four incredible kids."
Kim continued, "So when I divorced him, you have to know it came down to just one thing: his personality. I know it sounds mean, but people keep telling me that comedy comes from truth. And if there's one thing that I always strive to be, it's genuine." Drops the mic.
Safe to say, Kardashian has left us impressed with her self-roasting and humor skills. Maybe we'll see her return to 30 Rockefeller Plaza sooner rather than later...
