The A-list comedian will play, Kid, a character loosely based on Hart and his life. The film explores the journey of a Philadelphia native with a successful career in stand-up comedy and acting. The official True Story trailer finally gave us some more detail on what we can expect.

Hart is undoubtedly a fantastic actor, in 2014 he won a Teen Choice award for his performance in the movie Ride Along. So, it's probably safe to say that we can set our expectations pretty high for this one. Especially considering Netflix's past projects with Hart have been very successful. Earlier this year, Fatherhood was released, the comedy-drama was about a grieving dad, played by Hart, raising his daughter all alone after sadly losing his wife. Viewers were surprised at how emotional they got watching it, so it seems like the funny man has already proved he can branch out of the comedy scene.
