It's a lucky day for people who love both comedy and cars because Kevin Hart and the Plastic Cup Boyz are bringing their humor into the world of automobiles. The hilarious friends are set to star in Kevin Hart's Muscle Car Crew.
It seems that Kevin Hart is signing one deal after another as he continues to build his comedy empire. The funnyman is on a roll, and his latest gig takes us away from the usual stand-up comedy sketches and into the car industry. Yup, the Celebrity Game Face host and the Plastic Cup Boyz, Hart's comedic crew, are coming together for an original automotive series.
The hilarious entourage will star in Kevin Hart's Muscle Car Crew. The show will be eight episodes and premiere exclusively on the MotorTrend App, a leading subscription service filled with automobile and motorsports content. The new series will follow Hart and the Boyz as they try to start their own automotive club.
So what exactly should viewers expect from the Muscle Car Crew? "Fans will have a ball experiencing this classic car journey through the eyes of Kevin Hart and The Plastic Cup Boyz," said Alex Wellen, president and general manager of MotorTrend Group. "It's a 101 course on everything we love about car culture with the hilarity and humility that only Kevin and his crew can bring to storytelling." We love it already.
John Clausell, Ron Everline, Spank Horton, Harry Ratchford, and Joey Wells are the Plastic Cup Boyz who will be featured along with Kevin. MotorTrend's Lucky Costa, known for Hot Rod Garage and Roadkill Garage, will join the group as their in-house mechanic, car culture expert, and muscle car builds instructor.
"We're excited to partner with MotorTrend and Propagate to explore car culture through this unique lens of friendship and comedy," shared Mike Stein, Head of TV at HartBeat Productions.
