Housewife by day, executive producer by night: Modern Family's Julie Bowen is set to star and executive produce an upcoming comedy series. And if it's anything like her time in the Dunphy household? You won't want to miss this one. From her future role to the hilarious plot, here's what we know about the NBC production.

As Variety reported, the Hollywood actress will star as "Lulu Wallace:" a thriving public relations professional who suddenly loses everything during a messy divorce. But that's not where the story ends. As the currently untitled series plays out, we'll watch the divorcee return home to dad's house with a newfound life purpose - to save his declining career as a magician. Clearly, Bowen has a soft spot for magicians. Huh?

But while we'll have to wait a while to catch the magic for ourselves, we're not the only ones with high hopes about the upcoming series. "Julie is an exceptionally talented actress and producer who has captivated audiences across the globe," president of Universal Television Erin Underhill revealed. "Her comedic wit, charisma and passion are infectious, and we have high hopes for her new magic infused family comedy at NBC."

Until then, be sure to check out Bowen's other hilarious gems (psst, there's lots). From her beloved role in Modern Family to her recent time in Halloween adventure, Hubie Halloween, the actress certainly knows how to keep us entertained. In fact, in just 1 month, we'll be watching her return to our Netflix screens with the upcoming coming-of-age comedy, Mixtape (seen below).

As for what to expect? The long-awaited comedy will follow a 12-year-old girl (played by Gemma Brooke Allen) and her grandmother (played by Julie Bowen), as the duo navigates their way through the '90s. Expect a whole lot of nostalgia - and laughs, obviously - as Netflix brings back the Walkmen, cassette tapes, dial-up Internet, and, of course, mixtapes. Until then, be sure to stay tuned for all the latest comedy news. And get those Buncha Crunch ready!
