Team Aidan fans, this is for you: John Corbett is reprising his role as Aidan Shaw in season two of HBO Max's And Just Like That..., and well, we can't wait! Since the whole love triangle began back in season 3 of Sex and the City, fans have always wondered who was better for Carrie: Mr. Big or Aidan? Well, (*spoiler alerts*) we all know who Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) ended up with. And as devastated as we were to see Mr. Big (Chris Noth) die at the end of the reboot's first episode, we are more than curious to see how Aidan will fit into the picture this time around!
In an interview with Page Six last April, Corbett teased he would appear in the reboot. "I'm going to do the show," he said. "I think I might be in quite a few [episodes]." So, fans waited and waited, but he never appeared! Was all that anticipation for nothing? Well, not necessarily; it was just intended for a different time. But Parker did find the comment amusing. "It was fun. It was fun for him to say that," she laughed on Watch What Happens Live. "When he actually reached out, very kindly, because he's nothing if not a gentleman, and apologized for doing that as a joke, and then I was like, 'No, no, no, it's a free country first of all.' And I thought it was kind of delightful and kind of fun."
So then why didn't he make his return to Manhattan during season one? Well, according to executive producer Michael Patrick King, Aidan did not make an appearance this season following Big's death because he felt like it would be "a lot for Carrie." King continued, "This season was a lot. We wanted to get her through [Big's death] and into the light - the last episode is called 'Seeing the Light.' We wanted to get her out. [Aidan's return] is a big storyline that everybody at home wrote that we had never intended."

More curious than ever, fans are wondering how Aidan and Carrie's reunion is going to go down next season - especially after season one of And Just Like That... ended with SJP kissing podcast producer Franklyn (Ivan Hernandez). Well, regardless of how it happens, we're thrilled to know it is happening (again)! Stay tuned.
