Over the last year, Jimmy Fallon's certainly gotten incredibly creative on new episodes of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He never fails to surprise us, from writing relatable songs with his children to joking about his everyday quarantine routine. And this week, he was joined by a very special guest, Black Thought, also known as Tariq Trotter, to take on a new challenge.

The two men competed in The Tonight Show's first annual cake off, and they definitely showed off their hidden culinary skills. In honor of the start of baseball season, Fallon made a cake in the shape of one of his favorite player's head, Brooks Robinson. Jimmy showed no signs of fear as he prepared to construct his seven-layer cake. On the other hand, Tariq got pretty technical as he formed a baseball using a candied popcorn ball and some fondant, creating a scenic baseball field.

Fallon and Trotter were competing for the official Tonight Show Cake Off Championship Golden Cake Pan. Sadly, as Fallon expressed his excitement over this award, his head-shaped cake began to crumble. "Don't give up, it's all savable!" he exclaimed mid-panic. But Jimmy never lost confidence. Even with this setback, he still had faith in his baking abilities. Clearly, this was quite the showdown! But this wasn't Fallon's only new tradition of the week.

He also shared his first-ever Friday New Music Video Playlist. "I thought it would be fun to start curating some of my favorite new jams every week on @youtube," he wrote on Instagram. Jimmy started by mentioning Taylor Swift's re-recorded music. Next, he introduced Brockhampton's new song, saying, "I love Brockhampton." Demi Lovato and a few others also made the list, but many loyal Fallon fans would probably agree that there's no song better than It's March Again.
