What do Jack Black and Ice Cube have in common? Actually, a lot more than you may have thought. In only a matter of time, we’ll watch the two funny guys bless our screens… as father and son-in-law. Here’s what we know about their hilarious upcoming adventure…

Titled, Oh Hell No, the Sony Pictures film will follow the tales of Sherman (played by Jack Black) and a stranger, Will (Ice Cube). Well, that is, until Sherman falls in love with Will's mom, and the two are forcefully bound together by love. Safe to say, things get messy real quick.

In fact, Will has only three words to say about his mother's unexpected union: "Oh hell no" (hence the movie title). From that point forward, we'll watch the protective son and his mom's man hash things out on our screen. And, well, we've got a feeling it's bound to be nothing short of entertaining.

As for when we'll be tagging along on the ride for ourselves? Unfortunately, it looks like we might be waiting a while. Sony slated the upcoming film for a summer 2022 release date. Lucky for us, though, we've got lots to hold us down for the meantime.

In case you forgot, the two actors have been quite busy these days. Ice Cube last starred on our screens in 2020's musical, The High Note. As for his soon-to-be partner in crime? Black's most recent role saw him in 2019's Jumanji: The Next Level - alongside Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson and Kevin Hart.

Of course, there's also School of Rock, which will always have a special place in our hearts. In fact, back in May, the comedy classic made headlines yet again after we found out two of its stars are actually married in real life. Yes, really. Safe to say, Jack Black's time on our screen never ceases to amaze us. And we've got a feeling we're in for a real treat here (though we can't promise any guitar solos or battles of the bands).

Stay tuned.
