Get ready, nerds - The Big Bang Theory universe is expanding once again! HBO Max and Discovery+ are teaming up to develop a brand new comedy series in collaboration with Chuck Lorre. Although the exciting new project is in its early stages, sources already say that it will center around characters from The Big Bang Theory - which makes total sense, since reruns of the original series continue to be some of the most popular content on HBO Max.

This isn't the first time Lorre has teamed up with Warner Bros. Television and Max - he's also currently in production on a new comedy series called How to Be a Bookie, starring the hilarious Sebastian Maniscalco. Of course, we can't forget about Young Sheldon, which is currently in its sixth season on CBS and is the #1 comedy on TV among total viewers. All episodes of The Big Bang Theory are now streaming on Max, so we can't wait to see what Lorre has in store for us next!

For those unfamiliar with The Big Bang Theory, it first premiered in 2007 and quickly became the number one comedy on TV. After 12 hilarious seasons and 279 episodes, the show finally came to an end in 2019. But there was an effort to keep it going for at least one more season, which sadly didn't pan out. Despite this, the show's legacy lives on through its impressive record of ten Emmy wins and 55 nominations over the years. What's even more impressive is that The Chuck Lorre Family Foundation created The 'Big Bang Theory' Scholarship Endowment at UCLA, which has supported numerous undergraduate students in need of financial aid pursuing higher education in STEM. And in 2019, The 'Big Bang Theory' Graduate School Fund was also established to provide scholarships for Big Bang UCLA scholars who continue their STEM education in graduate school within the University of California system.

So get ready to break out your superhero T-shirts and prepare to laugh till your sides hurt - we can't wait to see what wacky characters Chuck Lorre will bring us next in the Big Bang Theory universe! Stay tuned for updates as this exciting new project continues to develop.
