It's the most wonderful time of the year! With Christmas right around the corner, these festive gems already have us in the holiday spirit. From fairytales to Santa stakeouts, we're counting down our favorite Hallmark Christmas adventures...
30. Boyfriends of Christmas Past
If there's one thing scarier than making it on Santa's Naughty List? It might just be an awkward run-in with an ex. Unfortunately for Catherine Haena Kim, that's exactly what her reality calls for in our 1st must-watch of the season.
In Boyfriends of Christmas Past, the actress is met with the fright of her life after a visit from 4 familiar faces: the ghosts of her ex-boyfriends. We know - yikes. As the film progresses, though, we'll watch her learn to open her heart as she makes peace with her past. Intrigued? There's more where that came from...
29. My Christmas Family Tree
Family reunions and Christmas practically go hand in hand. But how about when they're uncalled for? In My Christmas Family Tree, we'll follow a woman on a journey to finding her long-lost relatives after taking a DNA test - and right in time for the holidays.
As Hallmark further explained, "when Vanessa receives the results from her Family Tree DNA test, she discovers a family she didn't know existed and travels to their home for Christmas." While we'll have to wait to see how this one plays out, we'd definitely keep those Kleenex on standby.
28. The Santa Stakeout
This holiday season, we'd be careful who to let inside those front doors - or should we say, chimneys? In The Santa Stakeout, Tamera Mowry and Paul Campbell go undercover as they attempt to catch a thieving Santa striking local holiday parties. But that's not all they do.
As the detectives pose as newlyweds in a bid to crack the case, they find themselves getting a little too caught up in the fairytale they've concocted. Action, adventure, and a little bit of romance? What more could we ask for? Definitely add this one to that watch-list. (And double-lock those front doors!)
27. Open By Christmas
Our next Christmas adventure brings an entirely new meaning to "deck the halls." In Open By Christmas, get ready for a whole lot of nostalgia as actress Alison Sweeney embarks on a journey to find her high-school secret admirer. But not without the help of a sidekick, of course.
"When Nicky finds an unopened Christmas card from a high-school secret admirer, she and her best friend Simone search to find... the anonymous author," Hallmark further explained. While we won't tell ya how this one ends, it certainly gets an A+ for suspense.
26. A Christmas Treasure
If there's perhaps one thing 2020 taught us (aside from, well, we can never have enough toilet paper)? Life is full of twists and turns. Look no further than A Christmas Treasure, which sees one woman second-guess her plans for the future after stumbling across a 100-year-old time capsule.
In this Hallmark gem, Jordin Sparks stars as Lou: an aspiring writer stuck in a standstill after meeting a charming chef (Michael Xavier). From their budding romance to the breakthrough it eventually calls for, A Christmas Treasure is, no doubt, a treasure. And hello - Jordin Sparks singing Christmas carols? Need we say more?
25. Christmas Connection
Let's face it - traveling on Christmas is almost asking for trouble. Just ask Brooke Burns, who stars as a flight attendant in this family adventure. After being tasked with accompanying a young girl on her flight home for the holidays, things soon get messy for the air stewardess.
When the minor forgets a mysterious package on the plane, Burns meets up with her (very single) father in a bid to return the lost item. And, well, we think ya know where we're going with this. Tune in to Christmas Connection and get ready for the trip (and, yes, romance) of a lifetime.
24. Switched For Christmas
It's The Parent Trap x Christmas crossover we never knew we needed: Switched For Christmas. In this holiday gem, Candace Cameron Bure stars as long-lost twins who hatch a grand plan after finally reuniting years later. Any guess what it is? To switch places, of course.
Unlike Lindsay Lohan, though, their time fooling the rest of us goes down very differently. After trading places, both twins realize they were actually better off before. Expect lots of laughter and love in this nostalgic family reunion. Oh, and did we mention Bure's own daughter makes an on-screen debut? Talk about a full house...
23. A Dream of Christmas
Being alone for the holidays might sound lonely to some. But not for Nikki DeLoach. In A Dream of Christmas, the actress stars as a restless married woman who begs a Christmas Angel to be single again. And, well, let's just say: be careful what ya wish for.
After the wife's wish is granted, she discovers "her new life isn't what she bargained for," as Hallmark noted. "She awakens to discover she's got everything she's ever wanted, except her husband. She resolves to find him a second time." Hey, for better or for worse, right?
22. Christmas List
Getting ghosted is hard. But getting ghosted on Christmas? That's just cold. Unfortunately for "Isobel Gray," that's exactly what happened in Christmas List. The Hallmark rom-com sees the holiday-goer get stood up by her man after making grand plans for the two of them.
But as they say: when one door closes, another opens. As the film progresses, we'll watch the stumped girlfriend let fate run its course after a new love interest suddenly emerges. Will she take a leap of faith? Or will she find her way back to her lost love? Tune in to find out.
21. A Christmas Melody
Christmas time with Lacey Chabert is never a dull moment. But forget her time channeling the Jingle Bell Rock. Let's talk the Mean Girls star's time in this Hallmark musical. In A Christmas Melody, the actress sings her way through the holiday season - alongside the queen of Christmas herself: Mariah Carey.
But if that's not tempting enough? The heartwarming plot is reason enough to tune in to this one: As Amazon put it, the film is "an inspiring Christmas story about a single mother moving back to her hometown to start life anew with her young daughter."
20. Christmas Land
Imagine getting the keys to a Christmas theme park, filled with festive Pine trees and glistening neon lights. Sounds dreamy, right? "Jules Cooper" would probably argue otherwise. In Christmas Land, the unimpressed businesswoman inherits "Christmas Land" from her grandma. But she soon finds herself in an unexpected dilemma.
...To sell the run-down Christmas farm or revive it?" What starts out as a clear choice soon turns into a life-changing decision after Jules comes face to face with the local townspeople... and the charming lawyer she initially hired to help sell the place. Because what's a Hallmark movie without a little bit of romance?
19. The Christmas Shepherd
Who knew man's best friend also double as a matchmaker? The Christmas Shepherd follows German Shepherd, Buddy, after he runs away from home during a sudden storm. But the pup's trek across the country calls for lots more than "Have You Seen Me?" posters and a heartbroken owner.
Sure enough, Buddy finds himself on a stranger's doorstep (and by "stranger," we mean a very single father). And, well, we all know where we're going with this, don't we? As lead actress Teri Polo put it, the feelgood movie is a gentle reminder that "things happen for a reason… even when you've been down and heartbroken."
18. Love You Like Christmas
All roads lead to Christmas Valley - or at least they do in this holiday gem. In Love You Like Christmas, a successful workaholic is forced to take a step back after car troubles lead her to a nearby small town. As she soon finds out, though, her unexpected R&R was actually a blessing in disguise.
Thanks to Christmas Valley's locals, who (*shocker*) happen to be obsessed with Christmas, the marketing executive comes to learn a valuable lesson (aside from the fact that AAA should always be on speed-dial): there's more to life than that which exists in those corporate office walls.
17. Miss Christmas
Getting that perfect Christmas tree is no easy feat. Look no further than this Hallmark gem, which sees Two and a Half Men's Brooke D'Orsay as Holly Khun: the official tree finder for the fictional Radcliffe Tree lighting ceremony. Let's just say, she takes her job very seriously...
After receiving intel from a little boy that he has exactly what she's looking for, Khun embarks on an adventure to check it out for herself. But as she soon finds out, her benefactor's father isn't exactly as eager as he is to give their precious Pine away. Expect lots of self-growth (and romance, of course) in this feelgood staple.
16. The Christmas Train
Forget the Polar Express - this Hallmark movie calls for the ride of a lifetime. Instead of the North Pole, this movie follows a group of strangers as they head out to sunny L.A. right in time for the holidays. But, of course, in typical Hallmark nature - that's not where this story ends.
While aboard, a romance is born as a cynical journalist is led "into the rugged terrain of his own heart," as Hallmark teased. From the star-studded passengers (including Danny Glover and Joan Cusack) to the sweet plotline, we suggest tagging along on their festive trek cross-country.
15. Christmas at Holly Lodge
Holidays at mom and dad's are nice and all. But how about Holly Lodge? In Christmas at Holly Lodge, a property evaluator packs his bags and heads to the famed resort with one goal in mind: to evaluate the property for a major developer - all while disguised as an ordinary guest. What could possibly go wrong?
Sure enough, a whole lot. After quickly realizing how special Holly Lodge truly is, the evaluator finds himself charmed by the Christmas destination... and its owner, Sophie. But can he juggle between his heart and the reason he went to Holly's in the first place?
14. With Love, Christmas
He knows when we've been naughty, he knows when we've been nice. But does he really? In With Love, Christmas, ad executive Melanie is stumped after landing the role of "Santa" during her company-wide Secret Santa. What does one get their co-worker? For Mel, it wasn't as simple as she thought.
With no clue what to buy, she begins sending her co-worker anonymous e-mails in a ploy to find the perfect gift. What she didn't expect, though, was for him to be so... charming. As the two continue e-mailing, a romance is soon formed, resulting in the ultimate gift: love. (*Cue the Hallmark cliches.*)
13. The Christmas Ornament
'Tis the season for holiday traditions and gift-giving. But as far as "Kathy Howard" is concerned? That's one thing she'd much rather avoid. In The Christmas Ornament, the widow "plans to avoid any holiday traditions that bring back memories of her late husband," as Hallmark explained. Or so she thought...
After crossing paths with a charming tree shop owner, the grieving widower comes to realize there might be place in her heart, after all. But can she find a proper balance between preserving her past and moving on with her future? Grab the tissues for this tearjerker and keep scrolling for more festive adventures.
12. The Christmas Cottage
Remember snow days as a kid? While snowball fights and sipping hot cocoa by the fireplace was always a good time, getting snowed in isn't always fun and games. In The Christmas Cottage, a cynical maid of honor, Lacey, learns that the hard way after getting stuck at a cottage with the bride-to-be's charming brother.
After a snowstorm traps the duo indoors, the Hallmark gods strike again as the two find themselves catching feelings for one another. Oh, and did we mention Lacey has a boyfriend waiting for her at home? Or that Lacey and her bestie's brother once dated? Yep, things get messy - real quick.
11. The Mistletoe Promise
What's that old saying - 2 negative make a positive? In this Christmas adventure, Jaime King and Luke Macfarlane star as anti-Christmas goers who decide to couple up during the holiday season in a bid to feel less lonely. Any guess what happens next?
Sure enough, "as they spend more time together, the phony couple begin to experience the magic of Christmas," as Hallmark revealed. While we won't tell ya how the cynics' time together ends, we will say these grinches do not steal Christmas, after all.
10. Christmas Cookies
Who stole the cookie from the cookie jar? 2 words: Jill Wagner. In Christmas Cookies, the actress stars as a corporate agent sent to a small town (named, of course, Cookie Jar) to shut down their famed cookie factory. That is, until she comes across the establishment's charming owner.
After falling in love with the Cookie Jar local, her should-have-been simple task soon becomes very complicated. Will she succeed in what she went there to do? Or will the factory's irresistible Gingerbread Cookies put up a good fight? Tune in to find out.
9. Coming Home For Christmas
It might be the most wonderful time of the year, but what about when it's not? Coming Home For Christmas follows the fictional Ashford family as they struggle to play nice while forced under the same roof together for the holidays. *Enter Danica McKellar.*
The Hollywood actress stars as the Ashford's estate manager, hired to prepare the family home for sale. But in doing so, she accomplishes a lot more than that. Not only does she manage to get the clan into the holiday spirit, but she doubles as the perfect peacemaker.
8. Christmas Next Door
Remember John Tucker? In this Hallmark classic, John Tucker Must Die star Jesse Metcalfe returns to his bachelor ways as he navigates the holidays (well, attempts to) alongside his young niece and nephew. Lucky for him, an unassuming ally soon comes to his rescue.
"Unsure of himself, Eric [John Tucker] turns to his neighbor April, a lover of all things Christmas, for help," Hallmark teased of the festive family film. Expect lots of romance and fun as our charming bachelor helps us get into the holiday spirit...
7. A Christmas Detour
That's right - Candace Cameron Bure is so good at getting us in the holiday spirit, we had to include her twice. Only in this Hallmark adventure, the actress's partner in crime comes in the form of a very grumpy passenger aboard her flight to New York.
After a major snowstorm leaves Bure stranded in Buffalo, the bride-to-be set off on her own trek: "to find a way to New York City to meet her fiance's parents," as Hallmark explained. The only catch? "It's up to Dylan, a fellow passenger and a guy she can't stand, to get her there."
6. A Very Merry Mix Up
Meeting the in-laws isn't easy - but perhaps the hardest part? Making it to their holiday dinner in one piece. At least that was the case for Alicia Witt in this Hallmark rom-com. In A Very Merry Mix Up, the actress stars as a frazzled fiancé who somehow wounds up at the wrong place - or should we say, right place at the right time?
The Christmas gem follows Witt as Alice: "a woman [who] goes to spend Christmas with her fiance's family, but ends up at the wrong house," as Hallmark put it. Classic mix-up. Sure enough, as the film progresses, the confused bride-to-be is met with the ultimate wake-up call after gaining clarity like never before.
5. A Royal Christmas
A struggling seamstress from Philly and a royal heir from Europe might sound like a match made in Disney heaven. But in this Christmas fairytale? Not everybody is as pleased about a prince falling in love with a commoner. *Enter our evil mother in-law*.
In A Royal Christmas, Lacey Chabert returns to the Hallmark screen as Emily - a commoner who catches the eye of Prince Leopold during his trip to the States. Unfortunately, his mom, Queen Isadora, soon steps in, making it her life's mission to end their romance. Did she forget Lacey's father is the inventor of Toaster Strudel?
4. Christmas in Evergreen
Forget wishing upon a star - this holiday season, Hallmark is bringing us magic snow globes. Well, residents of Evergreen, at least. In Christmas in Evergreen, a small-town girl makes a wish upon a local snow globe for a romance-filled Christmas. Sure enough, her wish was Santa's command.
After (of course) a winter snowstorm leaves her stuck at the airport, the hopeful romantic soon finds love in the oddest of places: the airport terminal. Anyone know where we can find a snow globe? Asking for a friend, of course. In the meantime, keep scrolling to see our #3 runner-up.
3. Christmas Under Wraps
Whatever happened to predictability? Our favorite Full House star returns to our screens, again, in this Hallmark fan-favorite. After accepting a job as head doctor in Garland, Alaska, Candace Cameron Bure finds herself stuck in a life-changing dilemma...
Will she follow her initial plan and swap Alaska for Boston? Or perhaps will she follow her heart and stay in the charming small-town? Let's just say, it doesn't help that charming local, Andy Holliday is all too eager to welcome her to the neighborhood…
2. Christmas Getaway
Imagine renting out a quiet cabin for some much-needed R&R. Now imagine pulling up to that same rental, only to be greeted by a stranger and his young daughter. When it comes to this Hallmark classic, that's exactly what to expect. But while that might be how every good horror movie starts, this one's far from that.
In Christmas Getaway, we'll follow Emory: a lonely writer who finds herself shacked up with a single dad and his adorable little girl after a reservation mix-up puts them at the same place at the same time. Safe to say, "what begins as an inconvenience blossoms into much more," as Hallmark put it.
1. Crown for Christmas
Aaand taking our #1 spot in Hallmark's hall of fame? Filmed across the stunning European countryside, Crown for Christmas has got both the setting and storyline that looks right out of our favorite fairytale. And to think it all started in an unkempt New York hotel room...
"After getting fired from her job as a maid at a ritzy New York City hotel, Allie reluctantly accepts a temp gig as the governess," Hallmark explained. But if getting whisked away to work for the King of Winshire isn't interesting enough, perhaps Allie falling in love with him is…
