Elon Musk to Host Saturday Night Live With Miley Cyrus: Yup, You Read That Right

We promise this is not a joke: Elon Musk is set to host Saturday Night Live. The show's official account tweeted over the weekend that the Tesla CEO will host the broadcast alongside Miley Cyrus as the musical guest. And understandably, it's causing a stir online. Musk is not exactly a stranger to comedy; the entrepreneur is widely known for his hilarious meme-filled Twitter feed. He looks to be pretty proud of his internet humor persona, but could the SpaceX founder have what it takes to be a successful SNL host? Elon has already had a few showbiz appearances in the past, from silly stunts on Joe Rogan’s podcast to a cameo in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Iron Man 2.
Oh, but that's not all. The mogul also played himself on an episode of The Simpsons, titled The Musk Who Fell to Earth, and on the now-disbanded show The Big Bang Theory. He apparently did it so well that the Tesla CEO was featured in The Big Bang Theory's sequel Sheldon Cooper, all thanks to popular demand. So Elon certainly has some experience in entertaining.
The new SNL episode will also mark Miley Cyrus's 6th appearance as the show's performer. Some excited viewers were surprised that Musks' girlfriend and recording artist Grimes, the mother of his son X Æ A-12, is not the musical guest.

Many Musk and SNL fans alike have shown their surprise since the show is not known for picking business moguls as hosts.
