The legendary comedian announced late in September that his sixth Netflix special would hit our screens come October 5. And Dave's made it clear he won't be holding back (as usual). "Comedians have a responsibility to speak recklessly," he says in the first teaser. "Sometimes, the funniest thing to say is mean. Remember, I'm not saying it to be mean: I'm saying it because it's funny." The short monologue is followed by highlights from Chappelle's previously released specials with the streaming site.

And now, Dave is giving us what we've all been waiting for: an official trailer with a peek into the upcoming content he'll bring us. "This is Dave; he tells jokes for a living," says a narrator at the beginning of the clip. But the narrator is not just a random somebody: it's Morgan Freeman. "Driving down these country roads is a lot like a meditation," the Oscar-winning actor continues.

"He's deep in thought. Back in the trance," Morgan adds. "Five specials in this many years - how do you close a body of work that profound? I couldn't imagine the enormity of the pressure. And then, he looks as if he's about to say something. What could he possibly have left to say?" Well, we won't give you any more spoilers. Find out what Dave had to say and watch it for yourself below.

The trailer confirms what many fans suspected: The Closer is the last in a series of Netflix stand-up specials by the 48-year-old. The popular streaming platform also previously hinted that it would be the end of this Chappelle era come premiere day. "This stand-up special completes a body of work which includes: 'The Age of Spin,' 'Deep in the Heart of Texas,' 'Equanimity,' 'The Bird Revelation,' and 'Sticks & Stones,'" Netflix announced in its press release.

Emmy-winning director Stan Lathan will direct The Closer, just as he did with the rest of Dave's stand-up specials. So it seems safe to say we can expect big things and lots of laughs.
