Well, what's it gonna be: Team Peralta or Team Holt? It looks like we'll be landing another Halloween Heist next fall, which as you know, means you've still got a chance of landing the title of 'Ultimate Detective.' I'd start planning if I were you. Seriously.

This past weekend, Brooklyn Nine-Nine released some pretty major news, and something tells me you're going to be very happy about it. Lucky for you, we've got everything you need to know...

On Friday, August 28, the sitcom's official Twitter account gave us a much-needed update on the status of the show's future. And, well, it's even got Captain Holt losing his cool...

"*Capt. Holt voice* We're in a state of total euphoria. #Brooklyn99 returns in 2021 on @NBC, streaming on @PeacockTV," the series shared. That's right, Jake Peralta and our favorite other crime stoppers aren't going anywhere just yet.

Unfortunately for us, there's no official word yet on, well, when, exactly, we'll be catching the 99th precinct on our screens again. If you ask Terry Crews, who you know as Sergeant Terry Jeffords, it might be longer than we'd like.

"Our showrunner Dan Goor, they had four episodes all ready to go, and they just threw them in the trash," the actor revealed to Access Daily. "We have to start over. Right now, we don't know which direction it's going to go in."

Well, there you have it. While we might be waiting quite a bit for the return of our favorite sitcom, something tells us it's gonna be well worth the wait. No doubt, no doubt, I'd stay tuned if I were you.
