Mark your calendars everyone, because the 2003 family comedy classic is getting a fresh new reimagining - and it's coming to Disney+ this month! Cheaper by the Dozen hits the streaming service on March 18th, and we've got all the details on this highly anticipated family-friendly release.
For those who need a little comedy refresher, the original Cheaper by the Dozen starred big Hollywood names like Hilary Duff and Steve Martin - and even got a sequel deal that came to the big screen just two years after the first release. It instantly became a classic, with jokes and gags for the whole family to enjoy. And so, the folks over at Disney decided to cash in on the golden idea by reimagining the plot with a brand new family. This isn't your average "flash forward" revamp: We're meeting a whole new Baker family filled with lots of love and even more quirks. According to IMDb, the 2022 version tells the story of "the raucous exploits of a blended family of 12, the Bakers, as they navigate a hectic home life while simultaneously managing their family business." That's right, unlike the former gang of siblings, this version will show the ups and downs of Zoey Baker (Gabrielle Union) and Paul Baker (Zach Braff) as they try to merge their families together with kids from past relationships in the mix.
If you ask us, this sounds like a recipe for comedy gold - and the Cheaper by the Dozen trailer certainly supports our theory. The film teaser, which dropped back in February, shows a two-minute sneak peek into what's in store on March 18th, and we've got two words: hilarious and chaotic. From hectic morning routines to LOL-worthy parenting fails that had Gabrielle rolling her eyes, this upcoming comedy release promises some elite comedy moments fit for a family movie night. And it seems we're not the only ones who agreed! The trailer has raked in over 600K in views with hundreds of comments from eager fans.
