Channing Tatum and Jimmy Fallon Try Kids' Recipes on 'The Tonight Show'
| LAST UPDATE 05/09/2021
Jimmy Fallon and Channing Tatum took home the prize for possibly the funniest and most nauseating dinner date in the history of comedy. During Tatum's recent video-guest appearance on The Tonight Show, the 2 participated in a new segment, and let's just say... We don't think you'll want to try this at home.
The Hollywood star has certainly branched out over the years. From actor to producer and dancer, Channing seemed set on adding more to his resumé. And with the release of his new children's book The One and Only Sparkella, Tatum now added 'author' to the list. And it doesn't stop there, the former Step Up star also spoke to Jimmy about his new busy job directing, producing and acting in his upcoming comedy, Dog. Overkill much? Seemed he also agreed, sharing "Yeah... I don't know if I'll be doing that again." Understandable, man.
The segment, titled Tonight Show: Kid Recipes with Channing Tatum, was truly a moment in comedy history. And while the ideas were executed by adults, safe to say the extra expertise didn't help that much with the final product. To the entertainment and slight horror of viewers, the 2 bravely tested recipes including 'The Krispy Kreme Jersey Elvis,' 'Reesey's Quichey Surprise' and 'Travis' S'mores Dog.' Hungry, anyone? These masterful creations ranged from a donut with ham and Pop Rocks, to a quiche filled with broccoli, sprinkles and... Surprises. Credit where credit is due, these 2 champs kept their word by trying bites from the recipes... And even went back for seconds!
In true Late Night style, Fallon and his guest brought laughs to fans at home with their hilarious play-by-play of the tastings. From Jimmy Fallon's "the Pop Rocks are now attacking," or Tatum's bewilderment by the quiche's wetness, viewers were treated to some comedic gold. And while we were left a little nauseous, the segment certainly delivered amusement as well. And even though we may be hoping for a round 2, we doubt that Jimmy or Channing would be on board...
With what we hope was Tatum's worst meal out of the way, looks like the talented actor can get back to conquering Hollywood, one job title at a time. Be sure to check back with us as we keep you posted on his upcoming film, Dog.
