Attention all hormone monsters: Netflix's legendary comedy series is coming back for another season. As usual, expect lots of second-hand embarrassment and tons of laughs. Here's what we know about the latest installment...
The news about the upcoming season came after a big win for the Netflix series. Maya Rudolph, who voices "Connie The Hormone Monstress," took home her second consecutive Emmy win in the Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance at the 2021 Awards. And if that wasn't enough, the show was also honored with a nomination in the Oustanding Animated Program category - marking a total of six nominations and two wins since debuting back in 2017. So what better way to get fans hyped about a new season than to announce it during the post-Emmy win?

According to Deadline, the fifth season was formally announced on September 25th. And while the details on the fifth installment of Big Mouth are still limited, Netflix gave more than enough for fans to get hyped about. Their official teaser included a picture of one of the show's beloved characters, Maury, displaying mysterious knuckle tattoos. But the streaming service also gave fans a little sneak peek as to which guest stars will be surprising us in the upcoming season.

Brandon Kyle Goodman, Pamela Adlon, and Keke Palmer are all set to appear in the hilariously raunchy comedy. As for what to expect? The season is meant to take viewers from "No Nut November" all the way to New Year's Eve as the teens in the show juggle their raging hormones and emotional escapades. Intrigued? So are we. But luckily, we have even more to look forward to as the show has already been locked in for a sixth season as well. That's right.
That being said, make sure to check back soon for more Big Mouth updates. We've got a feeling our hormonal friends have got lots more tricks up their sleeves.
