Alicia Silverstone is Returning to Our Screens for Upcoming Comedy

Ugh, as if! It may have been a while since we last caught her in the halls, but Cher Horowitz is officially headed back to high school. Here's what we know about actress Alicia Silverstone's upcoming comedy movie.
As for what to expect? Titled, Senior Year, the upcoming film will be blessing us with a whole lot of nostalgia - and laughs, of course. We'll be following along on the adventure of one high school student, Ruby (played by Rebel Wilson). After waking up from a 20-year coma, the former teenaged girl heads back to high school to claim her would-be Prom Queen title. What could possibly go wrong, right?

But Fat Amy isn't the only familiar face who'll be blessing our screens soon enough. Lucky for us, the Pitch Perfect funny lady will also be joined by This is Us's Justin Hartley, Chris Parnell (Rick and Morty), Sam Richardson (Veep), and of course, Beverly Hill's finest: Alicia Silverstone.
But while the rest of the movie's plot has yet to be revealed, we do know the Clueless star will be looking very different this time around. That's right, sorry to disappoint, but Alicia will not be starring as a high-school student, as reported by The A.V. Club. Nonetheless, we're sure the actress's time on our screen will call for just as many trendy 'fits and sassy one-liners as her time at Beverly Hills High.
Unfortunately, though, it appears we might be waiting a while before we get to tag along on the Netflix adventure ourselves. With filming still underway, the movie has yet to wrap production. In fact, the upcoming comedy is slated for a March 2022 release date. In other words? You've got plenty of time to get that popcorn ready.
