After a long break from filming, comedian Aziz Ansari is heading to London to film season 3 of Master Of None. Ansari has spent the past several months focusing on his most recent comedy tour, Right Now. But soon, he will return to the screen as Dev Shah, a 30-something actor struggling with his professional and romantic life.
At the end of its 2nd season, the Netflix show ended with a cliffhanger that left us all wondering what Shah's relationship would become. His co-star and lover, Francesca, played by Alessandra Mastronardi, left fans in a panic of what was to come.
According to Chortle, Ansari said, "I've got to become a different guy before I write a third season... I don't have anything else to say about being a young guy being single in New York eating food around town all the time." Has he changed? Will their relationship revive in season 3? We'll all have to tune in to find out!
In an interview with Spettacolo Italiano, Ansari, who doubles as the show's director, shared some details. Although seasons 1 and 2 were filmed in Italy and New York, the 3rd season is London-based. Production was originally underway in London before the ripple of the global pandemic spread across the world.
As we trickle into 2021, we have high hopes for some good Netflix shows, movies, and more. Until season 3 of Master Of None is out, we'll be rewatching seasons 1 and 2 on the edge of our seats. Will Dev and Francesca call it quits with her engagement ring exchanging hands once again? We'll all have to stay tuned to find out!
