Weddings bring family and friends together to celebrate the joy and love of one couple, and this Hollywood wedding was no different. When Steve Levitan, co-creator of Modern Family, got married on September 17, cast members of the hit television series reunited for the momentous occasion. Cue the nostalgia!
Everyone seemed to be just as happy as the fans were for their reunion, with all the cast members posting photos together. Sofia Vergara, Eric Stonestreet, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Sarah Hyland, Ed O’Neil and Ty Burrell were in attendance for the nuptials. Ferguson posted a picture with everyone, captioning it, “Family foreves!” This is definitely one family we would want on television forever. Modern Family aired on ABC for eleven seasons. The sitcom followed the lives of three families linked by patriarch Jay Pritchett, played by Ed O’Neil. The series premiered in 2009 and completed its hilarious run in 2020. Over the years, it won 22 Emmy Awards, including five times for Outstanding Comedy Series.
Vergara, who played Gloria Pritchett, posted a selfie with her on-screen husband, Ed, plus other photos with the cast. Eric Stonestreet mentioned in his Instagram post that this was the first time he had been with co-star Vergara in over two years. That is way too long for this family to go without seeing each other! This was not the only Modern wedding to occur this year. In August, Sarah Hyland, who played the eldest daughter Hailey, married radio host Wells Adams. Jesse Tyler Ferguson officiated the wedding. While not all the cast reunited for either occasion, anytime this family is together, we are here for it!
Levitan’s new series, Reboot, was just released on Hulu. The show follows the dysfunctional cast and writers of a 2000s hit sitcom getting a reboot of its show. It will surely be a hit comedy if Levitan is part of it. While we may not be able to watch new episodes of the Pritchett family together, these photos should fill the void.
