For most people, 'Tiffany Haddish' and 'boundaries' don't exactly go hand-in-hand, but the successful comedian has made a quite the career out of her inappropriate jokes and blunt humor. Well, she took that to a whole new level when she confessed something to her co-star, Nicolas Cage. Get ready for this.
Haddish shared the story on NPR's program It's Been a Minute, where she revealed that she had a hard time acting around Cage when they first co-starred in The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. "You could tell he was getting irritated," Tiffany remembered of the awkward energy on set. "And I was like, 'Look, I'm really intimidated by you and I need to tell you something.'" Nicolas was taken aback, but his ears were open. So Tiffany dove into her embarrassing experience of watching Cage's 1997 film, Face/Off. At the time, she was in the theater kissing her date when they decided to take things to the next level. All while Nicolas's face was plastered on the theater screen.
"So now I'm standing across from this man, with those same big ol' eyeballs... And they're looking at me in real-time," Tiffany explained. "And all I can think about is the guy I went to the movies with and how we were making out..." But luckily, Nicolas took it extremely well. "He laughed super hard," Haddish shared in the interview.
Luckily, Tiffany's plan worked out. She knew that one she told him the story, "it’ll be fine." And fine it was. We can only be glad for her that Cage knows how to take a joke.
